Board of Directors and Staff

Board of Directors

The Foundation Directors, in addition to typical legal and organizational responsibilities, make all grant decisions. They meet in September to decide most of the year’s grants, and throughout the year review materials and decide small grants. The Foundation is pleased to have these family and community members:

  • Keith Kinsman, President

    Keith is an original director of the Foundation and has been employed as its full time Chief Executive Officer since 2001.

  • Pamela Reynolds, Vice President and Treasurer

    Pamela began accounting work for John Kinsman in 1996 and gave up a successful small business in 2001 to join the Foundation.

  • Jack Schwab, Secretary

    Jack joined the Foundation board in 2001 as an adjunct to a career as a lawyer and development officer. He is employed by the University of Portland.

  • Paige Kinsman, Director

    After many years in the arts and owning a small business, Paige joined the board in 2005 from her (adoptive) home in California.

  • Shelley Bailey, Director

    Shelley became a board member in 2006. She works in social services after a career in the legal field.

Staff

  • Keith Kinsman, Chief Executive Officer

    About half of Keith’s working time is spent with grants, and half with management of the Foundation.

  • Pamela Reynolds, Chief Financial Officer

    Pamela oversees the Foundation’s investments and investment managers.

  • Sara Bailey, Grants Associate

    Sara began working for the Foundation early in 2006 as its first full time grants associate. She reviews, evaluates and processes applications, and corresponds with applicants.

  • Elaine Wood, Accountant

    Elaine started her Foundation position in September 2007. She offers accounting and technical services.


  • Val T. Dog, helper

    Val wasn’t even born until 2001, and has been caught napping on company time more than once.
